The Volkswagen Touran appeared in 2003 as a compact family MPV positioned in the range between the Golf and the larger Sharan. The car was designed as a versatile model for family, leisure and business use, with a flexible cabin and the option of a third row of seats.

Timing chain and timing belt on the Volkswagen Touran
