Audi A5 2.0TFSi Timing Chain Replacement

A customer brought in an Audi A5 2.0TFSi model with an abnormal noise coming from the front part of the engine. Our diagnostics revealed a stretched timing chain, which is a common issue in this type of engine. A stretched timing chain can lead to serious engine damage, so immediate intervention was necessary.

We performed a complete replacement of the timing chain and guides. The process required partial disassembly of the front of the engine, inspection of the chain and all related components, and replacement of damaged parts. After the work, the engine now runs perfectly without any excess noise. The timely service saved the customer from a potentially costly engine repair in the future.
