Volkswagen Passat GTE 1.4 TSI 2022 Mechatronics Repair

The photo captures an important moment at our workshop in Espoo, where we repaired the mechatronics of a 2022 Volkswagen Passat GTE 1.4 TSI hybrid model featuring advanced technical solutions.

Problem: Solenoid issue The customer complained about unstable transmission operation: gear shifts were delayed and jerky, especially in electric mode. Using an OBD-II scanner and checking the transmission hydraulic system, we found the problem was with one of the solenoids controlling hydraulic flow in the mechatronics.

Repair process: - Mechatronics unit removal: We carefully removed the mechatronics unit to access the solenoids, which required disassembling the lower part of the transmission. - Solenoid diagnostics: We checked each solenoid for conductivity and possible mechanical issues. One solenoid was clogged and not working properly. - Cleaning and replacement: We replaced the faulty solenoids with original parts and thoroughly cleaned the mechatronics hydraulic channels. - Unit reprogramming: After the physical repair, the mechatronics unit was reprogrammed to install new parts and software updates. - Testing: The car underwent thorough road tests, and we ensured the transmission now works smoothly without delays or jerks.

Result Thanks to precise diagnostics and quick solenoid replacement, the hybrid Passat GTE regained full performance and driving comfort. The customer was satisfied and noted that gear shifts became much smoother.
